Bono explica en el comienzo del vídeo Miracle Drug,(pinchar para ver vídeo) que esta canción está dedicada a un chico que había en su escuela (¿Bono fue a la escuela comprensiva? Surprise, surprise) que apenas podía mover los ojos y que a pesar de ello su madre le había estado enseñando poemas durante años porque ella creía que era posible.
Al inyectarle una substancia que le permitió llegar a mover su cuello, apenas un poco (Miracle Drug) y enseñarle a escribir con un teclado digital, descubrieron que había estado años componiendo versos.
Simplemente un canto a la esperanza, a la posibilidad humana, más allá de las limitaciones físicas.

Donde cabe el brillo de una mirada cabe el avance personal, el aprendizaje y el milagro de la vida. Todo un mundo inexplorado.
